Message from our Pastor

We are delighted for you to join our parish family!

We are committed to inviting and supporting every parishioner to become a disciple of Christ, building God's Kingdom through our prayer, service, and outreach to others in faith. Working together, we seek to build a strong community where all are welcome and inspired by the Gospel to live God's mission with faith, hope, and love.

I invite and encourage you to connect with the members and ministries of our parish, and I look forward to meeting you personally. Our contacts can be found on our website or contact our parish office.

As in every family, we expect our parishioners to engage in parish life and to do their part in creating a better community. As we seek to offer as many opportunities for parishioners to come together in faith as possible, if there is a personal or family need that arises, please know that we are always available to assist you in any way we can.

I pray you may find warmth, encouragement, and spiritual growth here at St Teresa of Avila. I look forward to getting to know you personally in the weeks and months ahead.

God bless you and your family.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Monsignor Robert S Meyer (Father Bob)

What is available for young children?

Children are welcome and encouraged at all Masses and our 9 am Family Mass in Memorial Hall (located across the street from our Main Church) is a favorite among our young families. We have designed this Mass specifically with young children in mind to be educational, interactive, and inspirational. The Family Mass features our wonderful children's choir who lead the congregation in song each week! We also offer FAITH FX, an engaging experience for children in grades 1-4 and their parents. Learn more about this and other Faith Formation programming here.

Why register as a parishioner?

Every Catholic should be registered in a parish. Aside from the active support and involvement that parish registration enables, it is also a mandatory condition for many sacraments, including Baptism and Matrimony.  It is, therefore, essential to register at your local parish as soon as you start worshiping there regularly.

(1) You may receive verification letters to sponsor individuals for sacraments, receive sacraments for yourself or for your child  (ie, marriage, baptism). (2) You will have the opportunity to establish easy online giving at st-teresa.org/donate and receive an end-of-the-year tax contribution statement.  (3) You will be personally invited to gatherings and events to meet the staff and other parishioners. (4) The parish will know the demographics of the congregation and respond to needs. Further, the Archdiocese will know that our parish has a healthy base of registered, supportive parishioners.
