Being Transformed - Part 2

Christ With Me

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Chris above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left. Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I rise. Through God's strength to pilot me, Christ shields me today.

Amen.

Fear can often keep us from letting God's plans for our lives transform us or bring us joy. However, having courage in Him changes that.

Watch this short video as a family to learn all about how having courage and being fearless helps us to be our best selves.

We've focused on how children can struggle with being courageous, but that is also a struggle that parents can face given the uncertainties of life.

This article aims to help parents recapture their own courage in themselves and in their faith in watching the innocence and boldness of their children.

- Read Joshua 1:9 as a family and discuss the things that can keep you from having courage in God and losing hope.

- Using index cards, pens/pencils, and a jar: create courageous helpers by writing on the index cards different ideas of courageous things that can be done to show our hope in God. Maybe you could lead the family prayer or speak to a new friend at school. Put the index cards in the jar and pull out an idea at the start of each week to do as a family.
